Community Outreach Service Center, www.coscdenver.org, are people working together for a better community and since 1988 have proudly served the homeless, returning, and marginalized citizens in the Denver Metro Area with employment, housing, peer support, basic needs, and community wealth building to build a better community.

COSC has Five Pillars of The Community Outreach Service Center, they are included below:

1.Employment

Job Coach assist each client clients who are ready for employment with Job Leads, Job Search, Referrals, Resume Assistance and Job Retention no matter background or ability

2.Housing

Five Points is getting an affordable housing complex, fulfilling a vision by a couple behind Agape church – Denverite, the Denver site!
Charity’s House Transitional Housing – COSC is currently taking applications for our Men’s Transitional Housing program. We provide rooms for rent that are safe and clean with Case Management and Peer Services.
COSC Housing Navigator provides help with housing referrals, rental assistance, resources, assist with Viscidity. Metro Denver Homeless Initiative Member.

3.Peer Support

Crawl, Walk, Run, Fly – Philosophy of Service
Peer Navigators – assist marginalized individuals with one on one/group mentoring and help accessing mental health/treatment options, community referrals via network then build long term relationships.

4.Building community

The People’s Pickles, Community Outreach Service Center flagship social enterprise, 30-day transitional job training program for marginalized individuals who want to learn how to run a business, upskill, and receive permanent employment upon completion.

48 Hours – Monthly $100 Stipend, Re-Entry Workshop to include Forklift Certification, 8 hours work experience, digital literacy, refurbished laptop and direct employment offer upon completion.
Denver nonprofits host job workshop for formerly incarcerated jobseekers (thedenverchannel.com)
CDOT (Colorado Department of Transportation) Flagger Certifications and Forklift Certifications
